Soccer Coaching Basics

There are jut a few basic rules when it comes to soccer coaching. The first is absolutely the most important rule, keep it fun. If your players don’t have fun playing the game, then you the coach are surely not going to have fun. One way to help keep practice fun is to use little mini games that are fun for the players, but are also beneficial to them as well. Another rule is to make sure that you always arrive at practice with some kind of plan. Never try to just wing it when you are out on the field becuase that will lead to chaos, which will lead to an unproductive practice where your players don’t learn anything. It’s importnat to keep in mind as your practices go along, that mistakes are ok. Not yelling and allowing mistkaes can lead to your players actually liking you as a coach. Another rule that goes along with having a plan is to be sure that you arrive early to practice. This will set a good example to your players as well as help your prepare all the materials need for practice. Teamwork is very important when it comes to soccer. Running drills that can positively influence teamwork is very imporant when coaching soccer. The coach should be a positive model for his players to look up to. It’s importnat for the coach to know and understand all the aspects of the game. Coaching soccer is not a hard thing to do if you just follow these simple and easy rules.
